A “Distressed” finish has small nicks, dings, and dents applied to give the furniture an aged look. Some of these finishes have a glazing step that adds depth and hangs up in the distress marks. Some distressed finishes also have “flyspeck” in the finish.
A Heritage finish begins with a heavy level of distressing that includes: worm hole, splits, edge wear, and chain distressing. Many of these finishes have multiple layers of toners, stains, and glazes that are applied. The fine art of dry brushing provides a final aging effect.
Saloom has now partnered with industry leader, Sherwin-Williams, to bring you the Color Express Program with over 1800 colors to choose from, available on all Saloom products, where paint is applicable. This will provide paint options to fit any customer's vision.
